The Table du Mois de l’histoire des Noirs de Lanaudière wants its website to be usable by everyone, including people with visual, hearing, motor or cognitive disabilities.

What we have done

  • Colour contrast meeting WCAG 2.1 level AA for main text and buttons.
  • Full keyboard navigation with a clearly visible focus outline.
  • Respect for your device’s “reduce motion” setting.
  • Forms with real labels and error messages linked to each field.
  • Alternative text for informative images; bilingual French and English site; mobile-friendly layout.

Known limitations

Some activity posters are images whose text is not fully described, and some archives are only in French. We are improving this content over time.
